With the development of our hometown, I also sought growth for myself. On a stormy summer day in 2023, my parents and I began searching for a place where our family could start something that combined the traditions and modernity of three generations. I learned about an opportunity in Rạch Vẹm fishing village, just a 10-minute boat ride from the famous Starfish Beach.

My family and I visited the place to assess it. Although it was somewhat old, remote, and wild, I saw its potential.

Our three-generation fishing family then embarked on our business journey with Nhà Trên Biển—a name that carries both literal and figurative meanings, “the house on the sea.”

The entire family worked together, fixing even the smallest details. My mother showcased her culinary skills, while my father found joy in preserving the traditional beauty of the fishing profession that has been passed down through generations on the islands.

My grandmother prepared delicious treats for visitors to take home as gifts. My siblings and I worked together to find ways to reach customers, determined to provide a fantastic experience for those who visit.

The results came quickly, with the number of Google Maps reviews increasing from about 40 to over 160 in less than 10 months, raising our rating to 4.9 stars.
