Amazing place! Fresh seafood for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a boat to go to Starfish Beach. This restaurant is a must visit for anyone in Phu Quoc.
- I knew about the House on the Sea through Tik Tok and contacted the owner before coming, the owner and everyone at the raft were extremely friendly 🥰- My family rented a boat to Ham Rong here, 4 people cost 150k each, going to Ham Rong has beautiful sea and starfish, very worth experiencing 👍- The food and drinks are quite delicious, suitable for my family's taste, the sea area has fresh seafood, the lovely owner even gave my family a plate of rambutan clams for using the train service to Ham Rong 💯👍🤩🥰Overall, my family is very satisfied and will return to House on the Sea when traveling to Phu Quoc ❤️
The atmosphere is pretty good. It has a reasonable price with good sea food. I can enjoy every peaceful moment in here. Highly recommend

Ngoc is very nice. She didn't ask me to rate her like other shops, but I understand that I wanted to do this for her. John doesn't talk much but is very obedient, he does everything enthusiastically. The canoe driver is also cute and gentle. The whole team is very pleasant. Good experience. The raft house is famous for many people, so it's easy to group together to go on a cheap canoe, the average food is 120-140, seafood is seasonal (150k-March 2025).

Family restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered grilled prawns and they were absolutely delicious. Anh (the guy who hosted us) was nice and spoke good English and entertained us with his company while we waited for taxi. I’d definitely recommend visiting the place around the sunset and try out super fresh seafood.
I booked a fisherman’s experience tour with Joy and her family and had the best time. I was basically fishing my own scallops dinner and spent hours in the village, experiencing different feats of the local fishing techniques. There is a great non-touristic vibe that made it a real discovery for me on Phu Quoc. I can highly recommend it!

One of the most "local" restaurants in Phu Quoc. We feel so warm by the care of Ngoc the owner and her family. All 4 of us has the feeling of coming to a friend's home.Will definitely come back in my next PQ trip, and highly recommend for any one out there 🙂

After visiting the Pepper Country Farm, which was conveniently just a 15-minute scooter ride away, we decided to stop by for lunch. The day was particularly windy, so we opted out of taking the boat to Starfish Beach. Instead, we had the pleasure of chatting with Jonathan and his girlfriend Joy, the warm and welcoming owners of this unique establishment. What makes their setup truly remarkable is that they actually live on the water, a detail that adds to the charm and allure of the experience.Reaching the restaurant is an adventure in itself. The approach involves walking along a 200-meter-long wooden bridge—uneven and full of character—which perfectly encapsulates the authenticity of traditional Vietnamese life by the sea. It felt like stepping into a different world.For our meal, we chose the silver pomfret fish, served with tomatoes and steamed rice. It arrived beautifully presented in the classic Vietnamese style, and we were delighted by its simplicity and flavor. The fish was tender, easy to eat with minimal bones, and absolutely delicious. Initially, we were the only diners, as the blustery weather had likely kept others away. However, a group of five arrived shortly after, and their presence only added to the atmosphere—our private, tranquil lunch spot came alive with a gentle hum of activity.I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone exploring the area. On a calmer day, the boat trip to Starfish Beach would undoubtedly enhance the experience, and I hope to return to try it myself when the weather is more agreeable.One thing to note: the final stretch of the journey—about a quarter mile—is quite bumpy for scooters, and cars can only go so far. If you’re driving, you’ll need to walk the last 400 meters. Trust me, though, it’s well worth the effort!
Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, the food was very tasty, we enjoyed 'fish of the day' deliciously prepared with fresh tomato salsa. The owner showed us all kinds of fish that live in the nets. Highly recommended to eat here or have a nice drink.We drove into the 'village', and all kinds of pushy sellers came towards us to sell us the 'starfish boat' to go to the beach.We ignored this and then we reached this restaurant via the gangplank.We ordered something to drink, and because other people were going to the beach by boat, we were also asked if we wanted to join them. We said yes to this and then arrived at the beach, a lot of tourists 'playing' with the starfish, it hurts your heart to see how people do that for their pleasure and social media.
Went there spontaneously!Very, very nice staff! Following a recommendation, I ate the rice with crab meat and it was incredibly good! Since I also saw the boat trip to Starfishbeach on the menu, I spontaneously did it! It was great! 200k - even though I was alone. I was picked up whenever I wanted via WhatsApp!I will definitely go there again and eat more ❤️🫶 Perfect day
If you want to take a trip to Starfish Beach, you should skip a tour and have a grab take you to this restaurant.From there a boat trip to Starfish Beach is offered.For 2 people 200,000 VND per person, for several people it is even cheaper. There is no need to book in advance, just drive there.On site you will receive a bracelet with the WhatsApp number that you can contact if you want to be picked up again.Unfortunately we didn't get to eat in the restaurant. But the menu looked incredibly good at very reasonable prices.We had the best iced coffee of our entire trip in this restaurant. There is also a wonderful ambience in the stilt house.The staff is totally welcoming.

When the proprietress came to pick us up and arrived at the restaurant, we were super surprised. The sea water was very clean, the service was friendly and fluent in English, and the transfer to see the starfish was also great.Order your meal first and then go out to see the starfish. Then you can have your meal when you come back👍👍👍Starfish Beach is super clean and beautifulThe restaurant is very clean and easy to take photos. The hammock is also easy to lie down in. The sea breeze is very comfortable and super chill💖
It's been since May and it's only now coming up to review. The food is delicious and cheap, the owner is very cute. You should go in the morning, but if you go in the evening, you can stay here 😅

Hosts are super friendly and nice, especially the young girl who has amazingly beautiful smile❤️ Love how she cherish the ocean and the starfish. Foods are even better than in downtown with reasonable price. We had a wonderful evening here and highly recommend everyone.Smile is the common language💯
Must try place when you come to Phú quốc. Breath taking view, fresh seafood and amazing experience. Good place if you want to take a short break from the hustle of city.Highly recommend to call to book in advance as there are many places like this other there.
Joy & her cousin An runs the attraction. Found them on google & texted them via FB messenger & whatsapp. Flexible with our timing of their offers of fishing trip, Starfish Beach & a very scrumptious meal.They're a family own fishing & squid boat business. Impeccable service, speaks good English. Can't get any fresher seafood and they're honest to have informed her which seafood were in season and only served the best!Don't forget to say hi to a black & white frenchie!Something they could work on would be their access. It's rather far out & there were no proper roads. So, grab & taxis can be slightly costly than other destinations
Nice experience. Food is eager willing to try after this review, the price is affordable. I came too late to enjoy Starfish beach. We were supported to visit FREE a while and the day after we should come back if we be still interested in the beach. The second thing that I forgot my handbag over the island. The owner HELPED be back to find out on the island. Include:- FOOD IS 5 stars- SERVICE WITH WARM WELCOME- PRICE IS AFFORDABLE AT ALLMUST TO TRY WHEN COMING PQ
This is the place to visit when on Phu Quoc!We read about this restaurant and were excited to visit. They not only met, but exceeded our expectations. The crab fried rice is insanely delicious with a good amount of crab meat. The Chom scallops, which were grilled next to us, are also on point. Highly recommended on food alone.The atmosphere is amazing and makes for a beautiful ambience to a great meal. It seems to me like a family restaurant with a lot of kind people. Very welcoming.They also brought us to the nearby starfish beach by boat for a reasonable price. Which I recommend doing.
Went here after seeing great 5 ⭐️ Google reviews and it lived up to the expectations.Owner is super friendly and hospitable, speaks mandarin and english. We ordered the crab fried rice, clams and mantis shrimps. Every dish was so fresh & delicious, we could taste the “sea” in the seafood.Customers only come walk-in or by word of mouth, no pushy sales tactics like some other neighbouring restaurants.Value for money seafood, chill owner and relaxing views of the ocean. Will highly recommend seafood lovers to come here.The whole experience dining here made us feel so welcomed that we went there a second time before our trip was over.This is the highlight of our Phu Quoc trip for sure 🙂
